I know that I won't be having sex before I am married. My reasons:
1.) I've heard that if you have sex before marriage, on your honeymoon it is still "fun" to have sex... but it isn't "exciting"... like it was the first time you explored each other.
2.) Sex before marriage is seen as rebellious by some people, and therefore, when they have sex before marriage they find the excitment of rebelling increases the enjoyment of their sex. When the same couple gets married, the rebellion is no longer there and the sex stops being as good... which can cause tension in the relationship.
3.) Also, I think humans are creatures of habit.. if they get into the habit of having sex outside of a marriage, I believe, that they are more likely to feel okay about having an an extramarital affair once married. If someone waits until they get married to have sex, they will subconsciously have it engrained in their head that sex is ONLY supposed to occur within their marriage... and may be less likely to cheat.
4.) My religious beliefs. I KNOW that I'm not supposed to have sex before marriage. Yet, I know that my friends, who have had sex before marriage, are even more religious as I am... I think it is because they let their hormones decide that they will do what feels good now, and then just ask for forgiveness later. I believe that if you are about to do something you may want to ask forgiveness for later, then you shouldn't do it... because I believe God knows your intentions and feels betrayed.
5.) I have some more reasons... but I cannot think of them right now. :(
EDIT: If both you and the guy you marry have not had any sexual activity before you marry, then you don't have to worry about getting extensive STD testing before you marry, so you don't have to wear a condom-and just go on birth control- on your first night together.

This is a very personal decision. Sex before marriage is not necessarily a bad thing. Many people nowadays live together and do not marry at all. So I do not think the act of marriage is so important. Its the person you're living with that matters.

I believe the choice is personal and different for each individual. While no sex before marriage may be the right choice for you, that doesn't mean it's right for everyone. I do believe sex is beyond the physical and is a way for a deeper connection between two people. I wouldn't agree to sleep with just anyone. I have to have some sort of feelings and connections to first because sex only heightens them.

I disagree. I feel like a lot of the people who believe that end up marrying really young just so they can have sex. I don't think it's a great idea to have casual sex, but if two people love each other, why not have sex before marriage? Sexual compatibility is another important component to compatibility overall.

Who agrees that more than 50% of america has been through a divorce?! Don't get married just to have sex, that happens more than you'd think! Parents, it's VERY important be open with your teens about sex!! They're gonna find out for themselves otherwise, and that could have a bad ending for everyone involved!!!
