Whenever I get a new CD I find a track that I love and play it to death, does anybody else do this?

I do that alot. I have it on repeat for an hour until I know all the words by heart, and then for another hour before I finally stop it. I don't listen to that song for some time after this...;]
Especially if it's a new CD, most of the other songs sound strange, boring and the same as I go through them, and it takes some time to get used to them.
I suppose it's because of that stupid obsession on that one song, which by the way I can't stop humming and drive people mad for a few more days usually..

Most of the time. Usually it's one that I've heard somewhere and that's the reason i'll get the album. Then I'll just play that one track and not really play the others (usually when I get an album I do one run through were I listen to every song) and then I'll play one song to death :)

Yes, I do it all the time.
When I first bought Beyonce's CD I played Irreplaceable over and over again...until they started playing it on the radio. I then started playing Upgrade U and Kitty Kat.
I bought Ne-Yo's cd last week and I keep Addicted on repeat.
Once I'm tired of that one I'll move on to the song with him and Jennifer Hudson and then number 10.

Heck, in India, everyone does it, at top volume.
What's amazing is that everyone seems to like the same song at the same time.
Drives me crazy.
