I liked Diana. It was sad to see the marriage end.All parties were to blame in the ending of the marriage: Charles, because he was really attached to Camilla, and felt pressured to marry Diana, whom he did love a little; Diana, because she did not approach the problem in a constructive manner(screaming and crying fits didn't help, but they were understandable);Camilla,
because she just should have stayed away.
Charles' dithering over whether he should marry or not during the Camilla years cost him Camilla. When Diana came along he thought he found the nurturing type of woman he needed;unfortunately,Diana was looking for a nurturing father-figure type. I have often wondered if both Charles and Diana had stuck to the marriage and really tried to work through that last bad patch,if they could have mended things.
If Diana had lived, yes, Camilla and Charles would have eventually married.Charles would have waited until Diana found a partner that she was happy with before marrying;Diana and Charles were friends at the end and all animosity had gone.
Yes, William and Harry were right to attend the wedding. They were witnesses to the disastrous marriage of their parents and just wanted both parents to be happy.Camilla was never pushy or insistent about entering William's or Harry's lives, which both princes appreciated very much.

I think Charles wasn't sincere about getting married in the first place. He'd have married Camilla then instead, if he could have. (I don't know why, but he loved Camilla). The 2 of them picked Diana for him to marry, so that he could have heirs. And they thought Diana would be stupid enough as to not catch on to their affair.
Yes, having divorced Diana, he'd still have married Camilla if Diana was still alive. I don't know if the boys would have attended his wedding or not. Probably would have, unless Diana asked them not to.

If left alone years ago Charles would have married Camilla, but he married Diana...he should have shown more respect towards her, and given up Camilla while he was married, and she should have had the decency to give him up even if he continued to pursue her, shows what moral fiber she is made of as well. As far as the boys attending their dad's wedding they were both old enough to choose for themselves, I think it showed a lot of respect for their father and courage on their parts to go. Had Diana still been alive, no, I think Charles would have at least had the decency not to marry the woman who destroyed his marriage at least out of respect for his son's

It's pointless to assign blame to the breakup of the marriage. However that isn't to say there weren't bad decisions made on each side. I don't think it's so much that Charles didn't love Diana, it's more to the fact that he didn't know how to express his feelings. I know that sounds a bit like psychobabble, but
there is some truth in it. The Queen and Prince Philip did as best as they
could with raising their children.
But we have to remember both elder royals were raised in time when being demonstrative with one's feelings wasn't necessarily the norm. and bear in mind, the Duke of Edinburgh was in the Brit military for many yrs before he got married.
And we all know that the military, whether in England, the US, or eleswhere isn't the most touchy -feely environment. In some respects we all represent how we were raised, and Charles earlier on in sons' lives exhibited some aloofness which made him appear not very fatherly, he was just mirroring his own upbringing. Of course that's changed. As far as he remarrying if Diana was still alive, regardless of what happened between them, I think she would've wanted him to be happy, and if that was with Camilla, so be it. I'm sure if she'd lived, they would've found more common ground, exspecially where their sons were concerned, The princes get on with their step mother and step-siblings well. Of course Harry and WIlls should've attended their father's wedding.
They were children when everything was going on, and while on some level, it affected them being children of divorce. They wanted to see their dad happy. Just as they'd wanted to see their mom likewise,

First of all Charles is their Farther and it is normal for Children to attend a Parents wedding after a spilt up..
Second, The two of them did not get on and were not suited, so a break up was going to happen. Camilla and James were just part of the story.
Third, yes he would have married Camilla if Diana was still alive and i am sure that Diana would have remarried too, just like any other person.
I am sure Diana will rest in Peace if we keep our noses out of the break up and remember the person, not the story.

I think they were both to blame. There are always faults on both sides. Although I don't think it helped that he was still sleeping with the woman that he was sleeping with the night before the wedding.
Yes, I think Charles would have married Camilla even if Diana was still alive.
Yes, it was right that Charles' sons attended his wedding. Why wouldn't they?

I think it is very sad that Charles got married in church and took sacred vows before God to be faithful to his wife and then he wasn't. Once he committed adultery, he had no right to remarry according to the NT. But he's always been one to set his own rules, they just won't work on Judgment Day because he won't have the final say.
As far as the kids, Diana would have wanted them to be respectful to their father even if they don't like what he does. He has been supportive of the kids, especially since Diana died, so it's only natural they wanted to be there, even if they don't care for Camilla.
They both set bad examples for others that think the way they lived was ok. I find that the saddest part of the whole saga.

When I was married, the children from both my former marriage and my husband's former marriage were there. Now that we have grandchildren, there is no distinction between them, we are grandparents to all of them. Charles and Diana would have done the same thing.

i think that the fact that Prince Charles had been in love with Camilla was the real reason for the break up . sure the pressure of the royal life was hard but i think she handled it all extremely well . so in the end the only thing that caused that break up was Charles and his infidelity.
i am not pleased that any one remarries after a divorce.
i think we should view harry and William's going to the wedding as an act of family and not as a act of royal approval.
the queen did not attend the wedding itself and that i think was good. more people should have taken note of that and how that relates to the respect she had and has for the real marriage of Charles and the late princess Dianna.
As for Charles get married to Camilla if Dianna were still alive i think that would have happened only if he had given up his place as next in line to the throne.
