My Girlfriend, her father, and I stopped at a Waffle House in Gainsville Florida and sat down waiting to order. 3 other groups of people came in and sat down and the waitress took their order before ours. Then, another person came in, sat down, and ordered. Everyone got their food before we did. Needless to say, I didn't leave a tip.
Of course, being in the hometown of the Gators and wearing a Seminole's T-shirt may have had something to do with it.

I was in a diner and the waitress knew we were waiting for some people. They called and said they would be late. So we waited a little longer and decided to order. As soon as we were done ordering our friends showed up. We had our food and were half done eating before she even asked them if they wanted a drink. I could see if they were busy but there was only one other table in the restaurant.

My family and I were dining at a 'high quality' italian restaraunt. We sat down and it was at least 10 minutes before the waiter approached our table. He was obviously new, so I was as nice as I could be to him, knowing how hard it is to approach of table when you're new. (I have been waiting tables for 3 months now.) He did not speak up to ask us what we would like to drink, so I told him water, and before we were done ordering our drinks, he'd left. Then I ordered Manicotti, and we never got bread before the meal, and my soup was cold. Anyway, when we finally got to the meal, he sets mine down in front of me, and it was green. Manicotti, in most normal cases, is one or two long tan-yellow noodles covered with cheese (white) and marinara sause (red). I was hesitant biting into it, and found it to be half-frozen and chewy. When I got a hold of the waiter, he just looked at me and said, "Oh." My mother asked him to take it away and remove it from the ticket, since it was unedible. He did so, without apologizing or anything. Then he didn't return to our table, and I was left to eat half of my sister's meal, which she didn't order and didn't like. As he set our bill on our table, he asked if there was something else he could get me, and at this point, we were all finished. Needless to say, we didn't leave a tip.

We were in this restaurant for 1 and a half hours, all we got was our drinks and salad and some bread, We politely told the waitress we had to go and cancel our order, the manager came over demanding payment for our meals that never arrived, We refused to pay and he banned us for ever from his restaurant!

I'm going to hate myself for saying this because this is my favorite Diner. One time me and my family went to Denny's and there were only 2 waiters and there was a lot of people. There were 5 people including me in our group. We had asked for a lot of food so when the waiter came he forgot one of our orders and silverware. That was probably the worst service ever.

i went to a restaurant and the waitress was being very rude to me, and not to anyone else. she came by to pour more water in everyones cups, and i put my cup out, since there was more water in the pitcher, and she poured the last bit into someones cup. then she said to me, 'oh...sorry. you wanted some? i'll bring some more out.' then ten minutes later, she brings it out. just other things like that. then at the end of the night, she was all 'im sooo sorry if i was acting rude! i just had a long day and its pretty late. i didnt mean to come across that way.' i wouldve believed her, if it wasnt when she was giving us the check. which meant tip time.

Didn't even get that far. One time, years ago, we went into a place that was full, and had people waiting. Hostess asked if we wanted smoking or non, wrote us down for smoking.
After while she called a couple who'd come in about 10 minutes after we did. I heard her tell them that, even tho they wanted non smoking, there was now a table free in smoking, and did they want that?
I told the hostess that we'd been waiting longer, and that we wanted smoking. She said, "Yes, but it is our policy to seat our nonsmoking guests first."
We left. Husband mad at me because I wouldn't wait any longer. And I no longer want to go into that chain of restaurants even tho I don't know if every one of them has that same policy. (I dont even smoke any more, and it still makes me mad.)
