Hire someone to do it. You could be asking for a lot of expensive trouble if you do. If you drain it completely and its an older pool, more than likely the plaster will bubble and crack especially if you walk on it. Then you will have to resurface the whole pool. Back when I was younger, we had the bright idea while my parents were out of town to drain the pool so we could skateboard in it. Oops, did about 3 grand worth of damage. Why do you want to drain it. If its to clean in, its better to clean it with the water in it. Also you do realize that depending on the size its going to cost you about 400 bucks plus on your water bill to fill it back up. In other words, avoid draining your pool at all costs unless you absolutely have to.

have friend's over if you don't have the money then everyone could help bucket by bucket..... the old way.... or syphen it like gas.......suck on the end of a hose it might work....
