So, when I was in 9th grade, I was coming home from school one day on the bus. There was something going on at the school that night, and I was the only one riding the bus. My bus driver asked me if it was alright if he smoked on the bus. I said it was. It was winter time, so all the windows were up, and I ended up smelling like smoke. Do you think it was okay, since I was the only passenger and I consented? Or was it illegal anyway?

When I rode the bus, the drivers smoked all the time. In fact, some of the students smoked on the bus. It wasn't a big deal.

I think you did a kind and decent thing. I also think your driver probably made a mistake. I mostly think that with all the crap going on all around us, smoking is the least of our worries! Its iligal when u smok near people or in ur car or bus or van and there is people with u thats bad for u thats like u smoaked too becuase u was near him and the smell gets into u but thats not going kill ya if thats reapet for many time it can kill ya but other time say can u smok after i get out pls first think about ya not the other mate

well since it was your bus driver then no it wasnt ok because at school they encourage you NOT to smoke and then what if he had offered you one? And even though you were the only one on the bus he still shouldnt have been smoking.

No it was not okay, If you were in the ninth grade he didn't have the right to even ask. It is his JOB to drive the bus not to expose you to smoke.

it was ok
we used to have a crazy russian bus driver and we swore he was always smashed off vodka... we used to change seats while the bus was in motion and when there was only 2 or 3 kids left he'd look back in the mirror and notice we were moving closer to the front when he wasn't looking and he'd get irate... yelling and cussing, throwing his arms in the air and talking about the motherland, it was great.

You gave him permission which was your mistake. You don't say how long ago it was so its too late to do anything. Next time say No i would not like you to smoke and if he does, report him. He will probably either get fired ot get reprimanded.
