Yes.
The moronic GOP Congress even protested Clinton's bombing of Bin Laden's terrorist camps at the time ("No Bombs For Monica"). I guess shutting down the government to explore the sexual escapades of an effective President was way more important.
I'm tired of these Republican hypocrites.

Having sex with a much younger employee in the office is a real no-no, or haven't you noticed the lawsuits about sexual harassment occurring in the private sector at the same time as the impeachment was going on? As a mother of two daughters, what I found disturbing was that Monica's parents didn't want to Kill Bill clinton themselves.
The true injustice of that situation has never been faced. I remember all the college radio DJs saying, "That's the way to get some, get into politics".
I guess if you think that it is OK to use power in a sexual way, this is not offensive to you. It makes me sick. The partisan-ness of the impeachment glossed over the disgusting & reprehensible nature of the offense and people still cover up for Clinton and his life long sexual addiction, and his use of political power to abuse women.
Bill and Hillary Clinton and like the Roman Caesar Augustus and his wife Livia, who supplied her husband's endless sexual needs.

Clinton was impeached because he lied under oath. If it had been proven that he used his official status to smother a criminal investigation then he would have been forced from office.
.
Since there was no proof that he had actually committed any crime or broken any laws, the Senate found him not guilty.
,
So, in the end, Congress did it's job, which is never a waste of time, and justice prevailed.
Did the Republicans who made such a big deal of this apologize to Clinton?
No!
Did the Republicans apologize for making false and misleading statements to the American people?
No!

In the great grand picture of history, it seems like a trifle. Unfortunately, Bill Clinton pursued a course which made it neccessary. He could have come clean when the story broke, but CHOSE not to because he knew that this would be an admission of something that he had denied under oath in the Paula Jones lawsuit.
It wasn't just the Lewinski story that was on his mind. Bill Clinton put us through this, not congress.

It definitely was a stupid waste of time. Impeaching President Bush would also be a stupid waste of time.

Clinton was never impeached. No president has ever been impeached though Nixon would have been!
Lott had him charged, but the Republicans could not get the necessary 2/3 majority vote to convict him!
If he were impeached, he would have had to leave office!
And yes, it was totally partisan!

No. Lying under oath is a serious offense. Remember, he lied under oath while being sued for sexual harassment. He had a privilege against self-incrimination and yet instead of exercising this privilege he lied.
Also, for someone who posted earlier - - he WAS impeached. He was not however, convicted in the Senate so he was not removed from office.

Even before we tried to impeach Clinton, his time in the White House of a waste of time.
Not to mention he was lying on the national TV.
Did Bush lie to the public? It is very difficult to prove, since he did receive inaccurate information from CIA and DIA.
Did Clinton lie to the public? Hell yeah. FBI, CIA and other agencies weren't even involved.
"I did not have sex with that woman", he said on the national TV. Even thought he did it with cigar and other stuff....
