You get 1 point for signing in, after a day has passed, 10 points for a best answer. You lose 5 points for asking a question (which is stupid), get 3 points for giving a best answer to a question you asked, 1 point for voting for a best answer, on someone else's question, and LOSE 12 points for being reported, whether you violated TOS (terms of service, or not).
I lost 11 points 2 days ago, never even getting a violation at all. Go figure.
You get extra points if you get more than 5 thumbs up. That explains the extra points.
You need to re-check the answers you've given, so you can see the thumbs up, and you'll then understand the extra points given by Yahoo, the GOONS!

You get one point for just coming on each day... makes for some odd numbers,,,, you can also get one point for a thumbs up on a best answer
