from living and watching I think I can answer this.
1. They don't stay long
2. They do the best job they can
3. They don't fall in love
4. They don't tell
5. They do not get jealous
Not personal experience but you can't be my age and not gain information from others.

The good men are already married, except for the ones that are younger than 25 , but they won't settle for a mate that is older than them. If a woman is 25 or older she has to steal a man or accept some bum that no other woman wanted.
Girls may do this a subconscious level, ,hey how often do you see a guy who lacks both youth & a ring who is someone whose genes you would want in your kids?

What kind of question is that? Like married women are not cheating on their husbands. All is a 2 way street maybe 3 way street when you toss in the gay-bi-transgendered aspect too.

i think the married men don't always admit to being married !
-and don't wear a ring as an outward show of being committed to someone. I don't know of anyone and have never known anyone who has deliberately set out to date a married man
or maybe I've led a sheltered life!

Just like if you hire a plumber and he comes in a brand new van with designer logos you'd be more likely to think they are gona do a good job, than if someone arrived in a D reg banger car.
It's the 'already proven' to be sucessfully married factor.
The wife is like a valid job reference.

I think it's that the married men have committed themself to someone and we all want someone to commit to us.
And the type of woman that will try to break up a marriage is too stupid to realize if he'll do it with her he'll do it to her.

It's that thing about wanting what you can't have...
The unattainable.
I'm telling you now... that feeling is a kick in the teeth!
