In my opinion, this question betrays the intellect of a teenager. You know, someone who's mommy and daddy still coddle them - someone who has NO idea of the real world and actively seeks to retain their ignorance by hanging only with like-minded people.

What do you think?

They are probably around 16 or 17 still tied to their

Maybe it is old people who, are asking the question. When I was young during WWII most people felt the war was worth fighting and able bodied men who were not serving in the military were considered cowards. During the Vietnam war avoiding being sent to Vietnam became an major objective of most young males, so people from that era and after would share your attitude, that it is not cowardly to let others do the fighting, even though they think winning is important for the national security.

Your stretching the age a bit. This is more of a grade school playground mentallity - "if you like her why don't you marry her!". You can support something without being actively involved. It would be interesting to see this same logic applied to the gay rights arena.

I disagree. People who are die-hard Bush Bottoms should enlist for the war they support. If not, they are Chickenhawks.

Of course most will falsely claim the "already served" or are "too old". Yet they won't even consider going to Iraq to be an outsourced merc or support such as a KBR driver. Bush Bottoms through and through. Pretty Queer.

I agree. I think they're every bit as intellectually immature as the people asking questions like 'Just how old do you think the people are who keep asking "If you're for the war then why don't you enlist?"?'

Oh wait, that's you. Never mind.
