well do they have like a usb thing u could put on ur labtop so that u could pick up a wireless signal for the internet where ever u are therefore u wouldnt have to go to a nearby hotspot like starbucks just to get wireless acess
if so how much are they and where could i get one

The router is a box, it HAS to have internet input for the laptop to connect to the internet.
Your laptop should have wireless built-in, but it has to connect to something thats already connected to the net.
