Actually, it isn't as simple as saying "his horse was called Friday".
No, it's much more philosophical than that. A bit of physics thrown in too. Perhaps some metaphysics.
What happened was that the cowboy left town on Friday (the day). Fortunately or ufortunately, at that very moment, on that very edge of town, opened a portal to a new dimension, which the poor, unsuspecting cowboy entered.
He spent the better part of his lifetime in that dimension, in years as determined by that dimension. However, in the time scale in his previous dimension, ten years of his new dimension were but a day.
One Friday (the day, again), in his new dimension, opened another portal and the cowboy was brought back to his old dimension.
Needless to say, the thirty years he had spent in the new dimension were but three days in the old.
And that is how one answers a philosophical question, not by taking shortcuts and naming horses Friday.
