At the hearings, he flopped, the true hero was Sen. Daniel Inouye, vet. of WWII of the 442 Regimental combat unit... North appeared self-interested and greedy trying to play the 'hero' card, but as i recall, he was trumped by the Hawaiin Senator.

His fellow wacko rightwingers may have seen him as a "hero," but North was, in fact, an opportunistic scumbag whose tiny blimp in American history will no doubt be judged as no more than that, if anything at all. History, you see, seems to have this big eraser.
