I want to buy a thoughtful gift for my grade 10 science teacher, but I have no idea what to buy for him. I'm looking for something reasonably priced, but something he will enjoy. Any suggestions?

I think you should give him some good book either related to his field, or if you know that somewhere he is interested in literature, then turn to some classics. If your teacher is a senior, then he would perhaps love reading classic novels or poetry.Just give it a try.

A bookstore gift card is always a good bet for a teacher. Also appreciated are restaurant or movie gift vouchers. But what we really remember are letters and cards telling us what you have learned in our class, some challenge you have overcome while we have known you, or something like that. We keep those.

I recently answered a similar question with this:

These periodic table cards look awesome. They're regular playing cards, but each card has another element.

If not, buy him a nice box of chocolate or candy, assuming you know he has no dietary restrictions. (Russell Stover does NOT qualify as nice!) Most importantly, write a card that tells him how much you've learned fro him.

Please stay away from mugs. Teachers have plenty of those! In fact, if you know he likes coffee or tea, some nice coffee or tea would also be good.

Teachers greatest reward is seeing the difference they have made in student's learning. If you feel the need to give something, I am sure a Starbucks or Barnes and Noble bookstore gift card will be appreciated.

you should check out this company called Chocotelegram.
You can basically go on their site, put in a personal message in Belgian chocolate to your teacher and have it delivered straight to him. And it tastes unbelievable! Everyone loves chocolate, and with the ability to personalise a message using it, thats even better.
