Yes, but the back up brings he bad stuff too. I recommend only backing up KNOWN GOOD data, NOT backing up everything. Garbage in, garbage out

I would recommend creating an image of your PC. A couple programs you could use are Norton ghost or Acronis True Image (the better of the two). It creates an exact duplicate of your computer and keeps all settings.

If you decide to backup just programs instead of creating an image, keep in mind that when you do that and reformat your computer most of those programs will not carry over their attributes and will not work when reloaded from backup

Click the DVD drive.
Use DVD -R or DVD -RW.
