I have a Dell XPS (Gen 5) and an Nvidia Geforce 7800 GTX graphics card. There's something wrong with it, and I think it might be a physical problem with the card itself. How do I remove it?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Remove your cases outer shell. There are probably two or 4 screws you need to remove to inside. Then there is a release handle to pull off the side.

To remove the graphic card there is most likely a green plastic button that opens out the expansion slots. From then you just yank out the card and you're ready to put in a new one.

Also keep in mind that most dells have a one year warranty. You can take it into any place that honors dell warranty like CompUSA. They'll repair everything and bill Dell for the repair cost.

It might just be a resating issue, but youre right to uninstall the card. Use a friends and see if the issue persists, switch monitors and cabling too. It might be bad software on the puter, monitor issues, cabing issues, just ok coded software (wow for example has ALOT of issues), not enough power, drivers, or unwise expectations of what that card can do.
