Windows Vista is the new operating system released by Microsoft. It is the new operating system in the line of operating systems that dominate the consumer PC market and have been dominating the market since the early 1990's.

The rough chain of major Operating Systems released by Microsoft are:

Windows -> Windows 3.0 -> Windows 3.1 -> Windows 95 - Windows 98 - > Windows Millennium Edition -> Windows 2000 -> Windows XP -> Windows Vista

That about covers it, though I skipped over fron 98 to xp, vista still has way to many bugs for me to use!

its microsoft's new operating system. its crap though, because most of vista's features are just for show and not really necessities. it hogs up your system too, coz it requires GBs or RAM, and a really really fast processor, among many stuffs. if you have XP and want to try vista, try searching for vista transformation packs on the net. it literally 'transforms' your XP into vista.
