Hard question to answer. Some of the Dwarf Cichlids are tiny jewels. Discus are out-of-this-world beautiful. Angelfish have a stately and simple beauty. But I think that for striking color and all around beauty I'd nominate Geophagus(Satanoperca) "Jurupari" leucostictus. At their very best the background color is an iridescent pale lime green,with even more iridescent gold metallic flecks on the sides.

Tiger Oscars, Dragon Discus and Altum Angelfish are my favorites.

I think firemouths are beautiful!Convicts are really cute(I have one) but not as pretty as some of the others.
