This is going to give some people a bad impression of me but I'll speak my mind. I don't mind what type of film it is as long as it features beautiful women without their clothes. They are my favourites. Most recent dvd I rented was Little Children which features one of my favourite actresses, Kate Winslet, nude in steamy sex scenes. I'm a straight guy who likes looking at beautiful women and so that's the first thing to grab my attention. Of the genres you listed though, comedy is my favourite. I love a good laugh.

The best movies have a mixture of many genre. I prefer Science Fiction, but like characters, movies with only one or two dimensions leave me flat.

Guess it depends on what kind of mood you are in... I am usually happy, so I love comedies. But I also like sci fi and big budget action movies. A girl also needs to throw a little romance in there...

id have to say dark comedies. they stir quite a mix of emotions, coz they make you laugh into the not-so-good circumstances the characters get into. epics are good too, such as the lord of the rings. and fantasy flicks are just as good, such as narnia, etc. these films are all escapist in nature, because they bring the viewers into worlds that are different from what we ive in. this somethng that we all need, a break form life's comlexities. and by the way, musicals are excellent too. have you watched chicago?

I think a 'Dramadey' a.k.a Comedy/drama. And romantic comedies.
