How many blue whales are there? and where are they?

I havent heard anything about them for years, so just wondered.

There are a lot more now than there used to be when whaling was common. There are blue whale watching trips from small towns in southern South Australia to see the whales that come to feed on krill in the nutrient rich water offshore.

Current population estimaets are between 5000 and 12000. Where are they? Every ocean of the world.
