The thing makes your laptop or maybe your desktop have a wireless network without cable.It should be connected with your modem be4 you set up your wireless.There is also another brand such as Netgear.

It's a wireless internet connection for laptops and other mobile devices. You install the software on your desktop and then you have wireless access in or around your home. You can also have multiple computers or devices hooked up to the wireless router via ethernet cable, up to 4 I believe. I have a Netgear Wireless Router, I think it's a lot more cheaper than Linksys, but same performance.

You can't fill a thimble with what I know about the computer, however, I've been using the linksys wireless-g router for about 3 months now. I use it to connect my computer to a Comcast router attached to another computer in another room in the house. It works flawlessly.
There is one catch, you have to have the Wireless-G broadband router connected to the Comcast, (or other), router,and the wireless-G PCI adapter, installed in your computer. The adapter is very simple to install into your computer if you can use a screwdriver.
The router and adapter cost less than $100 At Walmart or Radioshack. GOOD LUCK!

its a router made by linksys. The wrt54gl is currently the darling of us geeks and the wrt54g is probably one of the best values for the dollar. If youre trying to use the internet and you havent bought a router, youre probably seeing your neighbors router
