my back hand spring would be perfect but as soon as i go back i bend my arms and then striaghten them when i land ..its really weird and every time i try to get them stragiht they go the same way .. i have tryouts in a couple days please help me

practice practice practice. and maybe if you are still having trouble have a friend who is better then you give you some pointers. maybe consider a couple of gymnastic classes.

try doing some arm excersizes to strengthen your arms. it sounds like from the way that you are describing it that your arms cant support your body weight. i have the same problem....im not fat or anything but i have weak arm muscels.
try some pushups or somthing.
