my laptop came with wi-fi but i still need user name an password of my neighbour before i can surf d web.with a wireless card,can i surf d web without the hassle of getting someone's user name and password?

Wi-Fi cards and Wireless cards are just different names for the same thing.

... and if your neighbour has secured their connection, then you can't use it without authenticating.

wi fi means you have to have a router and isp to get the internet. If youre stealing your neighbors (and we've all done that sometime or another) you need to ask permission. I have a neighbor that I have given permission from time to time and he will buy me a pizza or do some yardwork for me.

If you use a WWAN card, you have to pay for the card (although some will give it free) and have to pay BIG bucks, EVERY month. That's why they will often give you the card for free.

You need username and password due to security measures and they will be required.
What you can do is to store them so that the system will use them automatically and you will not be prompted to enter them.
