Like there was a piece of electronics that cost (retail $300) $150 in stores but on eBay after you do the bid and calculate the postage it's about ten bucks. They say in box from factory and new but should I trust them? And why is it SOOOOO cheap?!?!?

A $150 item that sells on ebay for $10 probably has some sort of a problem. You can get good deals on ebay, but not THAT good.

Are you looking at the opening bid? That might not be what it actually sells for, just a starting point for bidding - you'd be very likely to be outbid before the auction was over.

No tax to pay on ebay. Best place to shop in the world. Although I hear that the governments are trying to introduce taxation to ebay I don't think it has happened yet. I and my woman have bought hundreds of things off ebay. The best way to make sure you are not buying from a ripoff is to only buy from people 100% feedback with at least 200 or so different feedback. This way you can usually guarantee that the seller is genuine and check the comments they have from other buyers to see if the person you are buying from is seen by others as a good seeler with a good reputation. There may be some stolen stuff for sale on ebay but I don't worry about that. Neither do millions of other people who buy and sell on ebay.

chances are it is out dated equipment or it will be....but most cases if you watch what this stuff sells for it ends up being the same price as walking into a retail store...

I have bid on several things on eBay only to be out bid or bid up to the point of retail.......you might find some ppl on there that are not wholesalers that won't try to bid you up on their own products but most of them are ppl working in their own whole sale shops doing this on the side and when you bid they bid it up higher until you fall out...then they send you an email saying that the other guy didn't buy and they would be willing to sell it to you for what you bid it for....They did that with my wife....they are very clever so be careful.
