yeah that would look great. but dont go over board. if the dress is this lovely pink/raspberry colour then the accesories should be all black ( with not bits of any other colour) and one textures ( shiny/matt etc) im starting to imagine it and it looks great. Maybe you could go for smoky black eyes and clear lipgloss for optimal chick? Wow, where did you get the dress? it sounds amazing. Good luck!

Yes, that sounds lovely. In fact, I think that sounds better than a lot of the "traditional" mother of the bride dresses out there. I'm not sure your age, you physical appearance or your personality; but if you like the dress go for it. I know when I get married, I plan on dressing my mother in a black evening gown also. My mom is in her mid-50's and still going. Where as some women in their 50's think they are "old" and "getting up there" My mom still works full-time at a very demanding corporate job. She's amazing healthy, eats right and exercises. A typical mother of the bride dress will not do for her. She needs something with style, grace and a modern flair. In fact, if I tried dressing her in one of the "traditional" MOB outfits, she'd probably object! Have a great time at your child's wedding. You'll be the second best dressed person. The bride will be first. P.S.-black is a very classy color. I plan on having my maids in black dresses. I applaud you for you sense of style. If black is done right, you will not look like you are in morning. I don't know how many formal black evening gowns could be confused with something you'd wear at a funeral? Black is JUST a color people....I'd be more upset if my mom wore bright red or something.

Hi!
Your dress sounds absolutely gorgeous!!
I think your black accessories would look stunning with it.
I wouldn't worry about wearing black jewellery if you're not too sure about it - discreet silver or gold pieces would look good and not detract from the overall super look you're going to achieve!
I hope you are the Belle of the Ball and have a brilliant night!

Red and black, a classic sexy combination! should look fine, I'd go for stunning black dangly earrings and hair up, unless of course it's short already! I don't think silver would be particularly good with such a rich colour, you need a good contrast! Congrats if it's your graduation ball and have a great time!

Black satin accessories should be fine, especially if they are all the same tone. I would wear pearl, silver or 'diamond' jewelry with it, or the black would be overwhelming.

That would be nice, but yes, I would say you should wear black jewelry, but since it's a halter, maybe only earrings and a bracelet. I wouldn't wear a necklace, anyways.

never coombine pink with black ...(well... it depends on how bright the pink is but thats not the point) the gown should look good on its own, unless you think it leaves very little for imagination. but yea... wear the gown on its own and have your hair done and put some really nice clips on them... any store should have it and then wear high heels... it depends on what you have...
