Hello, I have a Dell Laptop Inspiron 1501 running windows vista premium home edition, practically brand new. However, sometimes when it goes on standby on it's own or whenever I tell it to, it won't come back up. The lights and everything do (Wi-Fi light and battery light) but the screen does nothing. I end up having to force shut it down and restart. It's not a huge problem, just a minor inconvenience. So if anybody has had this problem, and knows how to fix it, I would be forever grateful! I've tried updating my drivers and most of the solutions I found when I searched here. Thanks again for any help!

It is NOT Dells fault, your hardware is OK. You should configure your system in Pearl/control panel/system maintainece/power options. Set your computer to not shut off, sleep or hibernate. shut down screen is ok. Sleep and hibernate are a good idea if ALL your aps are well written, but the REAKLITY is that most of us have junk on our system, especially things running in the background. If one of those isn't working properly, It's not vistas fault, although vista will get the blame
