In the real world, Beyonce is normal/on the slender side.
In the media world, she is 2 steps away from a size zero anorectic waif, so that justifies them calling her plus sized.
It's all a carnival mirror.

She definitely has curves, she's no size zero. So she's full figured.
Fat women use the euphemism "full figured". The rest of society calls them what they are - Fat. American women are among the most overweight and obese people on the planet - by every imaginable standard our collective weight problem is neither healthy nor attractive. To try to use euphemisms and the media to further the agenda that fat is beautiful will never work, because fat is not beautiful.
Beyonce has a lot of muscle, she has big bones, and she has an acceptable amount of fat. Hence "full figured". Overweight and obese women can call themselves "full figured", but the rest of society - men, fit women, and every other culture on the planet - will continue to refer to them as fat.

Since when does the media call Beyonce' full figured?
She's voluptuous....as in great curves....but full figure usually refers to plus size.

because they are full figured next to all the skinny, thin, and anorexic (excuse me, "eating challenged") women who make up today's "celebrities". they aren't compared to the general population.
