I deleted IE altogether, but it still pops up every now and then. The site itself has "ia pula:*," or something like that at the top, then there's a list of names with corresponding tally numbers next to them. I think the beginning of the URL is agorex-dot-3x-dot-ro.
There's more to the address after that, but there's a different name at the end of the URL every time it opens - that name is bolded in the list and the number has increased. It's like it's a contest to see who can get their name popped up the most. I'm afraid that it's some slow-eating virus...I know nothing about viruses, but I've heard that they aren't the greatest things in the world! This computer is for both personal and business uses, so I cannot just completely wipe everything and start over again just to keep this thing from popping up! Any insight at all would be greatly appreciated!!!

I forgot to mention - I added the root site to my block and restricted lists and it STILL came up (with Restricted Site at the bottom of the window!)...

Regarding Harry P's answer:
(Thank you for your input!)
I went to http://propcaid.com/ but when I hit the submit button (to submit my question), it went to a Sorry, Server Problem page - so that's a no go...

Regarding queenie's answer:

It's not a pop-up. When I say the window "pops up," I mean that I'm not using IE at all and it just opens to the page out of nowhere!
It's not a pop-up add, it's an actual site.

Here's the latest one that just opened...
The list shows that the name at the end of the URL is in 'first place' with 3000+...

What is this thing?!?

http://agorex.3x.ro/salut.php?name=posa

The name of the site (title bar) is "Salut!"

I don't know if clicking on it will make it come up automatically every 30 minutes or so like mine on you guys' computers - I really want you guys to see what it is, but I don't want it to infect you! URGH!!!

It is quite obvious that your own antivirus program is not helping you out at all. I suggest that you run what is known as "online scanner". Here is the link for, Kerparsky Labs Of Russia Servers. Rated # 1 in the world for virus detection.

Open the link and follow the instruction on the webpage. Kaspersky will scan your entire system for the virus and kill it when found. No conflict with your existing antivirus program.

Scan can take upto two hours depending on how many running processes that you have and how many programs you have installed.

Good luck to you.

If this does not work, then I suggest you try a program I have installed, download their free version as it will find, keyloggers, malware, rogue dialers, spyware, trace spyware and rogue cookies. A2Squared Malware out of Austria. http://www.emsisoft.com

Or Superanitspyware know to find what all other miss.. Download their free version. http://www.superantispyware.com You will get auto updates. On A2Squared Malware you must update daily on a manual basis.
