Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you have a "significant other" then ask him. If you are single then certain makeup can enhance your best features and hide your not so best features. I prefer some makeup and ALWAYS less not more. Most over-made-up faces (especially eye liner) that I have seen were probably done so from guess work. Get actual face makeups from the make up departments in large department stores because all faces are different with different requirements. Then see what YOU like best.

If you can pull it off, by all means do it, but don't put it on too thick, or use stuff that comes off easily.
Basically, keep in mind that you don't want to look like an old lady or a preacher's wife (thinking of Tammy Faye Bakker here). A little bit here and there works for most ladies, and is all they should do. A few women can get away with a bit more, but again....only if you can pull it off. Not every woman has the facial features or skin to pull off the high-gloss mannequin look like a Kylie Minogue. ^_^
And keep in mind that sometimes makeup is appropriate, sometimes not. Generally speaking, makeup with a t-shirt and jeans doesn't work unless you are *good* at it. Save it for moments when you are more dressed up elsewhere on your person.
(and yeah, my preference is for some makeup to be used, but hey, I get it, I'm not the one who has to wear it and deal with it....and I'd rather see a little bit done well than more done wrong)
Hope this helps....thanks for your time! ^_^

I*m no guy...but I wanted to put my 2cents in......
growing up my father wouldn*t allow makeup....he said that it made the females look like *street walkers*. As I got older, teen years, I saw friends who wouldn*t leave home without their makeup...and it comoflauged their real beauty. I am 45 yr. old and still won*t wear makeup. My b/f is from the same school as my dad....he doesn*t like make-up because he feels it hides the real you,

I prefer the natural look myself, but a little is not bad. Some do not know how to use makeup.

Light makeup, in public, for common activities. Do it big when we do it big. And for the love of god, grow eyebrows that have some thickness, and aren't three inches above the eye!
