I personally got my e-books from The Pirate Bay. It's torrent, so you'll be wanting to get a bittorrent program in order to download them.
The files are in PDF format, but Adobe will allow you to format it into whatever other type you'd like.
As far as HP7 goes, there won't be any e-book copies of that until it actually comes out on July 21st. The chances of them being leaked out are practically nil, since the company that released them are already making book sellers & libraries sign legally binding agreements to not only not sell any books, but to not even open the boxes. They're surprisingly vigilant about this, & have actually tracked down people who have gotten their hands on a pre-street copy.
There is an ebook floating around called 'Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows', but it's already been proven to be a fanfiction (written by a fan, not JKR) where someone pasted the hardback picture to the front of the file. In many of the copies (I don't know if it's been fixed), there was actually a note where the author went back & made a note saying that they forgot that the particular item had been changed. It's still a decent read & for the most part they kept to JK Rowling's writing style, although there are a few very telling points where you realize it's a fanfiction.
The links below are for the ebook versions of the Harry Potter book, as well as for the fanfiction of HP7.
Don't feel entirely guilty about d/l it, since I'm guessing that 9 out of 10 people who d/l it already owned the physical copies of the books & just want something that they can carry around in their laptops or palm pilots. JKR has said that she's not going to release official e-book versions, which is a foolhardy move.

Okay, now before anyone gets carried away at finding this E-book online, let me be a bit blunt.
That book will never be exposed on PDF or any other electronic media until the launch date.
Jo doesn't like her secrets to be exposed and I would say that trying to get it out of her or anyone else, is like trying to ask the devil to be a saint.
The security of the books are under so many eyes that not even a wood lice will be able to peek without be shot, mutilated, rip, torn, shredded, bent, folded, dismembered or any other harsh and painful experience.
So as for the E-book, Nah... you won't be able to get it...
but my recommendations are thus...
Jk rowlings site has many tips and hints about the new book. If you don't want to go there... wait until July, then all our fantasies will come true about the book..
Oh yes... You do know that 3 people are going to die...
I know them, but I am not going to spoil the story for everyone. Got them all out of the hints and tricks on her site.
kind regards
