On one hand you could put the WWE belt on Chris Benoit, Kane and Shawn Michaels to make hardcore wrestling fans (who don't spend any money on your company) happy and risk going out of business.
On the other hand you could leave John Cena as the WWE champion to make new wrestling fans (who are willing to part with their cash) happy and make your company millions.
So with this in mind who would be the WWE champion in your company, also taking into consideration that hardcore wrestling fans usually stick with you no matter what and the money that the new fans are bringing in are making your investors happy.

Why not have it a little bit of both ways: Edge?
Chris Benoit and Kane would also be under consideration if I ran WWE.

im a shawn michaels fan so him but if its my company and girls could have the belt and trish was there and lita i would make it a ladder last woman standing.the rules would be one woman climbs the ladder and when the get the belt keeps the belt at the anouncers table and they battle it out then when the person with with the belt is down the the person without the belt go's and get the belt and exucute their special on the person they took the belt from.if the person without the belt is not up within 10 seconds then they keep the belt.it would be extreme rules

Kurt Angle should be WWE champ, all the fans young and old loved Kurt Angle and he is legit meaning people outside of pro-wrestling can relate to an honest to god real life tough-guy fighter and Olympic Gold medalist as champ instead of the sissy bodybuilder champs Vince seems to have these days.

RKO - hasnt had a shot for almost 3 years. Combines wrestling ability (for wrestling fans) + charisma + merchandise (realising Legend Killer and RKO stuff would work)
