It's hard to rate the Beatles 45's, they had so many "Double-A sided" singles
Come Together over Something
Day Tripper over We Can Work It Out
I Am The Walrus over Hello, Goodbye
You Can''t Do that stands the test of time better than Cant Buy Me Love

I was going to say Rain too, far superior to Paperback Writer. It wasn't even released as an album track either, just tucked away as a B-side sadly.

"Let's Spend The Night Together" by the Rolling Stones was the flip side of "Ruby Tuesday". "Ruby Tuesday" went to #1 on the Billboard charts but LSTNT only made it to #55.
I like both songs but I give the edge to LSTNT. More of a typical Stones song than RT. And I bet more people would come up with "Let's Spend The Night Together" than "Ruby Tuesday" if asked to name some Rolling Stones songs.

Neil Young's single "Heart of Gold" had "Old Man" for the B-side. I didn't think it was necessarily better - but almost as good. Especially since, at the time I noticed this, the radio stations were burning out "Heart...", and never played the other.

The Beatles came to my mind also. I remember when those two songs were released and I couldn't decide which was better. Heard them on my transister radio while riding my bike!
