ok, i know this question is going to ruffle a few feathers... but I am genuinely interested to know what you think on the subject...

If you or your significant other was pregnant and before the pregnancy came to term, you found out that your child was going to be severely mentally challenged... Would you keep your baby or would you give them up for adoption...???

I really don't have morals, but I'd answer anyways.

Oh, my significant other would never be able to get pregnant :(.

Keep the baby. I don't believe in passing on a human being, until a better one comes along. I couldn't live with myself, knowing my child was being raised by others, because I didn't want the responsibility. Every child has something to offer

I would keep the baby, i mean i know it'll cost me later on but it's my baby. It would be like someone handing u an adorable puppy and then taking it away, only twenty times worse than that. What matters is whether that baby is loved, whether it's going to grow up be a genius or not. Love is all that matters...

Keep him or her,the problems wouldn't bother me it would still be my flesh and blood and I would love it no matter what and do my best to give it as good a quality of life as possible.
I'm too old for children now but I worried each time I had my other children and that was my decision then.

Well, it would be difficult, knowing the road ahead--but I would keep the child. I couldn't spend every day knowing I gave up on my own flesh and blood. However, I wouldn't fault someone for giving the child up knowing they couldn't provide for their special needs.

Keep the child. It would still be my child and still need all of the love I could give. Just because it isn't perfect doesn't mean you throw it away like yesterday's trash.

That's a pretty tough call. Probably wouldn't have the heart to give the baby up though. God never gives us more than we can handle. I think we'd keep it, and get through it just fine.

I would keep it.. there is a reason why God gave me that child. Maybe it is a challenge that I am supposed to succeed through or fail..
