Get an external, USB floppy drive. Laptops don't come with floppy drives anymore, typically.

A floppy disc is a plastic square thing 3 1/2 inches wide, with a metal circle on one side and a sliding coverplate on the front.
If the laptop has a floppy disc drive, there will be an opening that the disc fits into until it snaps in place. A pushbutton release is usually in the corner of the disc drive.
If you have Windows OS or DOS running on the computer, the floppy drive will be called "A:", (the main drive is "C:" ). Use "My Computer" or "Windows Explorer" to access the disc. Click the "+" in front of the folder names to see more detail.

Most people disable their floppy drives. Go into the bios (usually f2 at start up) go to drives, turn on diskette but dont set it to boot from floppy. hit esc to exit, choose "exit and save changes"
