laptops are not great for gaming, especially at that price. For that price you can get a good solid computer that will run games, but will not have a great frame rate or good 3d. If you can hold out to July, thre will be a price war and you can get a slightly better computer, although not quite gaming class for 1000. If you cant wait till July, the best notebook under 1000 is the Dell 6400. If you want a gaming computer for 1000, Id recommend a desktop, perhaps one in a LAN party case

go for a dell inspiron e1505. its around 800 bucks and got good ram and speed for gaming. it also has a good video card. and u can cuztomize it a little more for urself and bring it upto 1000. or 1100. ure sure to get a good laptop that works good for gaming.
