I'm afraid not, the bus technology is different, and the pin configuration is also slightly different.
however, PCI-E motherboards are coming down in price quickly, so a real bargain can be had at the moment. =]
And I'd strongly advise upgrading to PCI-E now, since AGP devices are quickly becoming harder to come across.
Hope I helped

Just like the x86 processors, the PCI-Express was designed to keep a downward compatibilty with the PCI. Thus, PCI-Express peripherals will be able to operate without any problems with relatively old systems without update. It also has several transfert rate, depending of the number of connectors used, from 1x to 16x, and evolutions toward 32x speed are already planned.

So the answer is it will work fine.

there are no adaptors, because if you put one onto the PCI slot it would move it out of place of the spaces on the back of the case, adn it wouldnt fit. so if there isnt a space on the mother board, apart from getting a new mother board, theres nothink that you can do.

but try it anyway, it should work, not as fast, but i doubt you will be able to tell the diffrence.

I don't believe so. If you could make an adapter for it, the PCI slot wouldn't be nearly powerful enough to run the card.
