Childhood illness. My baby girl was diagnosed with Leukemia at the age of 9 months. She's now 18 months and, well, it's a long difficult road we must travel. Certainty is not a guarantee. There is only hope amidst so much tragedy. Many people think Leukemia is, of all the childhood cancers, the best one to have. They are correct, however, in babies it just doesn't happen, it is so rare. For my daughter, her chances are similar to that of flipping a coin. Unfortunately, though Leukemia is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in children, and the best remission/5 year survival rates, it is not quite the same for babies. We see many other children come and go (to heaven) and it breaks my heart that these children must suffer, and many will not make it. I find that there is less than involvement with companies like Pampers will not implement programs to help sick babies. Or Bugaboo who makes very nice and very comfortable strollers will not provide strollers to the sick babies. When people with children hear my story or talk to me they get the perspective of my life through a keyhole, if you do not have children and are not involved in pediatric cancer in some other way, then you see me through the eye of the tinyest needle. Pray for us. Thanks.

I just want the freedom of speech, thought, religion, and idea. People confuse "wanting to get freedom from something" with the consequences of choices they've made. For example, if you want freedom from your abusive husband, than leave your husband and seek help.

Just the grip of this mind...freedom from always being controlled by these non-stop, unnecessary thoughts...when there are moments when the gaps between thoughts gets longer, bliss n peace arises, the sky of mind is unclouded, n life is so fresh & new then...but then the thoughts come back bringing heaviness...sigh...
