I have astigmatism and 20/300 vision in my left eye and I have been controlling pupils in classrooms for over nine years.

People with all sorts of disabilities make wonderful teachers.

I am sure an eye problem wouldn't make him a bad teacher.

If a teacher is good- the kids do behave because they are interested in what the person has to say...

Control is in attitude, not appearance. If the teacher is blind in one eye, he/she could wear a patch and dress as roguishly as the dress code allows, I suppose, and throw in an occasional "Ar."

Really, though, a teacher should not wear an artificial personality in the classroom. Just use all of the tools in the teacher toolbox--sternness, humor, warnings, etc--whatever fits the personality of the student in question.

well a physical deformity might neccesitate that the teacher cultivate his/her positive personality more, making the class exciting and innovative and NOT boring or dry.as far as the teacher controlling the eye itself NO, its a physical impairment over which there would be no control
