The truth is almost any college can teach you the basics of filmmaking. Some schools are better than others because they offer one-on-one instruction (or small class sizes) and others have great equipment you can use for school projects.
As a US filmmaker I have never heard of TFC. But that's not your question. What I think you're asking is "if you attend TFC, will you be able to become a sucessful filmmaker?"
And the answer is "no" and "yes."
If you have talent, smarts and a strong drive to make films, any school can provide you with the teachings and equipment to help you realize your dreams. And you would make it despite what college you attended.
But if you're not a diamond in the rough, I don't think TFC will give you the leg up you may need to make it in this very competitive business.
Those schools are the ones that have successful alumni. New York University, UCLA, USC and Columbia College (chicago) come to mind. These are the schools where agents come to recruit the next Speilbergs and have the connections with studios to help you get internships or get in front of important people.
Before you sign up with TFC, find out about who's teaching, how many graduates get jobs, what kind of jobs, who are successful graduates, etc.
Answers to these questions will help you decide if this place is right for you.
hope this helps.
