As depressing as $2.95 a gallon is (southeast Louisiana), I think I would trash my car if it ever got to $5. Already I am walking and using public transportation whenever possible.

It looks like it's just getting higher and higher! I suppose it all goes with the territory. After just four years of a world without bees, the planet will no longer produce food so who will care about gas when they are starving to death anyway? I would hope that someone would wake up to the real problems mankind is facing and quit concentrating on the mighty dollar which won't satisfy even its owner's hunger when this lovely abode of ours doesn't produce the necessary foods that up to now had sustained us for thousands of years. If this is all that so-called "high tech" has done up to now and is about to accomplish for us, who needed it? Shouldn't we go back to basics quick before it's plain too late? That day is coming! And don't let the fact that the media isn't saying that much about it yet fool you, as the governments, etc. don't want a mass hysteria on their hands which they know is what would happen if the whole truth of the consequences of their greedy actions will soon be. A famine such as the world has never ever seen is awaiting us all and we are just idly waiting, comfortably numb, with our fridges and pantry so full as we don't even stop to see all that is truly happening in the world and can't even begin to imagine going to the grocery store and finding the shelves "empty" for a myriad of reasons which could have been prevented if only...

In Wisconsin, as of May 27, we are paying a range of $3.30 to $3.45. Don't feel bad. In England, a gallon of gas will put you back $8.00. Truth be told, the gas doesn't cost that much . . . it's the taxes!

i'm east of Dallas Texas, and yall are making me kind of glad i don't have to buy gas anymore, except the fact that it means i'm dependent on others to take me places, the last time i drove was 2 years ago. Anyway, i haven't looked at the prices here lately, but one told the prices in Dallas, so i'm sure they are around that price here - around $3.oo or so a gallon.

You are talking an "Imperial" gallon in Bermuda aren't you. That's a little more than a "U.S." gallon.
