Since she was looking at Jack and is in a love triangle with Sawyer and Jack my guess is Sawyer.

He might have referred to Sawyer. But that is the obvious answer. He could also refer to a child, since most likely Kate is pregnant given the high male fertility rate on the island. Her ending up with Sawyer is a little too trite. I think Sawyer might return to his life of crime since in the past few episodes he has killed two people. I think this will affect the character. I tried to read the newpaper article and it looked like the name was Kwan, meaning Sun or jIn. I'm not sure who it was since no one showed up for the funeral. If it was Juliet, her sister and nephew would have showed up. Also, Jack was very upset about the death. Locke perhaps? I don't think Locke would ever leave the island unless he was forced to. Perhaps they weren't meant to leave the island because all of their lives were ruined once they returned home. That's my guess judging by the way Jack's life has destructed.

Because of the whole Sawyer-Kate-Jack love triangle, the logical conclusion would be Sawyer. But then again nothing is ever easy with Lost, so who knows.
About the funeral: Some speculation is that the funeral was Michael's (based off of a supposed transcript of the newspaper article talking about a man who hung himself and was survived by a teenage son). But since I have no proof that the transcript is accurate, I don't like to base all my theories off of it.
If it wasn't Michael's funeral, my guess would be Ben or Juliet's funeral, more likely Juliet's. Had it been any one of the Losties', at least a few people would have shown up. With Ben, the likelihood of anyone showing up is very small, although Jack showing up sounds like something he would do. But thinking about it, I think it is Juliet's funeral. Her funeral wouldn't be likely to have too many people show up, but I would think that maybe Juliet, Hurley, and a few others might show up. Which is why Jack was surprised that no one was there, because although Juliet was an Other, she sort of became part of the beach group and you think that one or two of them might come to pay their respects.
To me, the biggest questions of the season finale is a) can they change that future that we say? b) what's this secret that Jack is "sick of lying" about

The "he" had to have been Sawyer. They are both fugitives now and it would make sense they stayed together. I think the funeral was for Ben. He was returned to a society where he had nothing, no education, career, etc. It would make sense that he had to live in a housing project in L.A. which would explain the surroundings of the funeral home. He also had no family, friends, etc...

Although this is a stretch . . because Kate liked money I was thinking that the 'he' she is referring to is Hurley. But, who knows. This was a 'flash forward' . . which I am now wondering isn't a figment of Desmond 'dreaming' or something like that . Seems strange that Jacks father is mentioned as being 'alive' when we know that Jack went to Australia to bring back his fathers body. Aaargh. And, how did Walt get back on the island since he left it with his father, Michael?
