The easiest way to do this is click Start, then click Run. Then type "fonts."

This brings the fonts folder open, now you can just copy and paste your font files in here, and they will automatically install.

They should be be usable on word and all your other programs.

Be careful downloading fonts, MOST comewith embedded spyware. Just go to your local retailer and buy those 4.99 or 9.99 cd's with 100,000 fonts. 5 or 10 bucks versus turning your 1500 dollar computer into a 50 dollar computer

if it comes in the form of an installer package, run it and when you are given the choice of " install to" browse to the folder you want them in. if it is a collection of fonts without an installer, open all programs, open the word folder and find the font folder. copy them all to that folder.
