End of the "buy a championship era"? There was no buy a championship era in the first place. Wow, I can find many reasons 2 hate on ur teams, but u can't find 1 legitimate reason 2 hate on mine. "They buy their championships." They have more homegrown players than most teams. "They have the biggest payroll, and they still suck." Well, what r they supposed 2 do with that money, give it 2 tha Devil Rays. If teams actually tried 2 win a championship, and not play "Smallball", which hasn't worked , than that's not their problem.
Buddy, listen, ur never going 2 stop hearing about the Yankees. Why would any1 stop talking about the greatest sports franchise on the history of the planet. When u have 26 championships, a boatload of legends, and ur own HOF in ur stadium, than u can talk ****.

Word ! I mean give me a break they are below 500, and name another team that is below 500 that gets 5% of the press coverage. It is like since they are expected to win every year if they don't it is the bigger story than the winners.
I am in the area for business and you never hear about the tribe or tigers or even the mets for that matter.
Its Sunday, so a good time to pray, ok really hope that Clemons is a complete flop. I mean, have few bad outings and then not even finish the season. All this hype for nothing, and that will probably just mentally end the season for the yankee players.
RC is great, hall of fame player, and he is not responsible for all the hype, but he is the Brett Farve of baseball, just retire.
Do the game that gave you so much a favor.
I do wonder if this is the end of the "buy a championship" era?

Yes I'm tired of hearing about them in a year where they don't have any reason to run there mouths...I'm a die hard Red Sox fan but do respect teams with great history in winning championships like the Celtic's and the Patriots,the bulls and even the Yankees...but I really can't stand George Steinbrenner fat bastard that he is....

I hate the fact that not only do they buy everyone elses talent, but they use ESPN willingly to try and convince all aleletes that New York Is the only place to play. If they admitted that ESPN is a New York recruiting tool, that would be better , but they still pretend to be fair and unbiased. Its only when the New York teams stink that you can really see the favortism by ESPN.

That they try to buy their way to the championship every year. Especially when they do it mid season like Abreu last year or Clemens this year.

that annoying sound byte from that yankee play-by-play announcer who would go absolute crazy by yelling, "DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH YANKEES WIN!" after every Yankee victory. man, I much rather hear turkey gobble than hearing daaaaAAAAAAaaaaaaAAAAAAaaaaaaaAAAA yankees win!
