why dont you ask a local school with a lot of pupils in it to perform there in there breaktime of something maybe you could perform in the culture hall or in the play ground.

Anywhere you can get your foot in the door. It takes a lot of hustle until you can break through, if you are good enough. First you get a local following, and then the following branches out, then some producer backs you up, if you are good enough. Look at all those singers on American Idol who think they can sing. They are horrible, so when they are rejected they are crushed. How deceived can they be? The public will do the voting. No Doubt with Gwen Stefani started out that way. Even the Beatles started out small like you, in the beginning, until they caught some backing. However, millions of groups never make it. Good luck.

I am not sure where you live but i do know this if you want to get noticed, you could send demos to the local radio stations in your area that do R n B or Rap music, if they like you they will play it make sure when you contact them to give them your demo's talk to them also. Getting your self on the radio a little will help you get gigs. Also you should check around if there are any small Night clubs you could try to get in there they usually take newer artists with bigger cover groups.

It's hard to answer this when you haven't mentioned where in Canada you are, but one place I know where public open-air performances take place is on the waterfront in Toronto. Celine Dion has sung there, and tourists go there a lot, and I believe you only have to get in touch with the municipal authority to arrange a performance.

a good place would be at la or ny at some restraunt or hotel also miami flordia would be good placealso get a manager to tell u wat spots are open for performence and all that **** and also go to a studio to record a cd and sell it at your school so u will get known

if its christian or rap about god orsomething, go to a churhc near you, i dont think that catholics are into hearing that at mass, and father wont be either, i guess you could go o a local christian or baptist church.
