Sometimes it takes a while hun. You just have to keep on moving and not let it consume you. I allowed myself to be consumed for almost three years once. Just remember that, that is not going to be the last person that you meet. You must deserve something better, because when one door closes another is sure to open. It may not seem that way but give it time. And allow yourself to fully heal, don't do "rebound" ish things. You will be okay, just go and live... remember that life is always going to go on.

Depends on the depth of love you have/had for the one who broke said heart. Some hearts never heal and you can only learn to cope with the hurt.

Depending on the type of heartache were talking about here, It takes however long it needs to take. There is no set limit on it. To my experience, it lasts until you are able to accept the situation and let it go. Until you can let it go you will keep the feelings alive and you will be living in the past instead of the present.
Keep looking forward and find other ways to get fulfillment. Eventually you will discover the heartache lessening. Stay strong and stay true to yourself. That's about all you can do.
Just remember, Happiness enters our life through doors we don't remember leaving open.

Depends all on that person. Some folks don't want to move on, and they dwell on that situation. Very unfortunate.
Others can heal quickly, although I find it that you can truly heal six months and beyond.

It depends on the person. Some people love to live in the past, and so can continue being heart-broken their entire life.

A broken heart never truly heals.....the pain may get less as time goes on, but the hurt never goes away.
Who broke your heart???

i think healing time is directly proportionate to the amount of time you were together. In the mean time cut down on the healing time by looking hot and having fun!
