Considering the debt the UK has with Poland vis a vis WWII, when we promised to defend and then did precious little, and allowed them to be absorbed by the Soviet block after the war, I think Polish immigrants should be welcomed with open arms. They a long suffering, hard working and proud people, with much more cultural awareness than most Brits, so stick your head down the toilet and flush, your brain will end up where it belongs, bigot.

Hit your head against the wall, maybe that will help.

Many thanks to ALL normal Brits answering this silly question here, you make the Britain still Great.

Humanophage, nice to see there are still some people in our countries who do not share anti-Polish (and anti-Russians in Poland) resentiments unleashed by some of our politicians.

Apparently, I'm not the only one to find it weird that the Brits should complain about Polish immigrants. Other European countries have Africans, Turks, Central Asians, Arabs, and Britain itself has a whole bouquet of Asian immigrants from India, Bangladesh and Pakistan, yet they choose to complain about white, Christian, law-abiding Europeans.

I wish this country (Russian Federation) had a better economy so that the Poles migrated here. Oh well, at least we get Ukrainians, Belarusians and Moldovans. Cheers to them.

Thanks to psymon for great answer, nice to know there are some people out there who know their own history and aren't afraid to own up to it! Well done!

As for the racist and stupid question, I'm from Poland and i have lived here for 4 years now. I never personally meet anyone who would be rude to me because of where I'm from. All the people I know are very friendly, especially my English boyfriend, who calls me his Polish princess :)
It makes you wander though. If I never hear such remarks in my real life, does it mean that apart form being bigoted racist, those people are also cowards, only ready to express their views on-line? seems so to me!
If you have something to say, say it to my face, other wise be quiet!!!!!

Thanks for all the nice words about Poles to all the great British people!

Thats a ******* insult to the polish and to us britains. The polish and other foreigners are coming here to this country to do jobs which us british are ashamed to do. If they were not allowed to come here, there would be a massive gap in the economy. So think before you talk. At least they arent just coming here and claiming benefits like many others are.
