Two things:

1) Allow the two vehicles to sit hooked up for at least 5-10 minutes BEFORE attempting to start the dead one.(engine running)

2) Do NOT rev the engine of the dead car when it starts while the cables are still hooked up. You WILL burn up the rectifiers on the Ford.
As soon as the dead car starts, disconnect the cables.

NO problem at all.
you can jump start any car off another car.
Of course as long as you have the wired hooked up the right way.
No way you can damage a car for jump start.

No, it will jump start it fine....or rather it will try and start it, whether it actually starts is down to the Peugeot, it won't damage the Ford.

Both cars use the same voltage batteries, therefore, no problem. (In fact, as far as I know, all cars use the same 12v batteries)
