just a litle background-me and pat are 16, best friends and i like him a lot. i also happen to think hes gay, but im not sure...
when i asked pat if he was gay, it took 40 mins for him to respond and when he finally did he said-"idk why you would ask that." then he said "are you serious...if i was gay do u think i would be interested in gina or ne other ppl on facebook?" then i said-"idk u tell me." pat-"wow that was real *** of u." then i apologized and said "it would be even more *** of u to not be friends with me over this petty discussion." pat-"hmm w.e." then later i said "if theres anyway i can make it up to u, tell me" pat-"Forget it." so now i guess everythings alright...is this how a straight guy would respond? i mean he was annoyed that i would even think that...

when i asked him if he was gay, i assured that if he was i would not have a problem with that, and it would not affect our friendship.

your friend might not be ready to come out of the closet just yet so don't try anything because it might ruin your friendship.

Can you accept bisexuality as real? Perhaps Pat was using the girls as an excuse, because he is too young and unsophisticated to know about bisexuality. Or perhaps he is not ready to declare his sexual preferences so openly.

Respect his privacy and give him time.
