any ideas for helping me to write a personal statement to get onto a fine art MA course-or any useful websites would be good!

Also, i'd say put down extra curricular things such as if you were a prefect, or ever helped at a school/work open day as uni's tend to love to see things like that!

A personal statement should really about your work as an artist, what you do, what interests you and how you do it (your subject and medium etc) what exhibitions and relevant work experience you have, what artists/exhibitions have inspired you. maybe a line on non-art things, but to be honest these dont matter so much for a MA. 90% of it should just be about yourself and your work as thats the important bit.

I have to agree with Loobyloo. It's really important to be able to explain your work and why you are interested in your particular field and line of inquiry.
