Is there any way i can skip it? If i start taking a new pack of my birth control will it stop it?

taking the combined pill will stop your period +/- some light spotting

No matter what you could do you might not be able to stop your period or spotting during that week. Since you stopped taking it your system is going to be all confused when you start taking the pill again and will take a bit to get back on track again.

So. You could start taking the pill again after that week, which means you could still have your period that important week.

or

You could start taking the pill now, but since you've had a break from the pill you could still spot bleed or have your period during that week.

As for the depo shot, there are so many bad side affects I'm surprised its still on the market. Since you'd be just starting it you could bleed for several weeks or not at all. You could also have spotting at odd times. I took it for four years and do not recommend this type of BC.

Yeah if you continue to take birth control you won't get your period. My doctor recomended it when my wedding was coming up. Make sure it doesn't become a habit tho. Doing it every once in a while won't hurt.

BUT, if you aren't taking birth control now and just start taking it now... you may still get your period.

the only way to stop it is to take the depo shot and it stops your period for 3 months at a time....and as long as you get a shot every 3 months you wont get a period again

It might stop it, but it will be worse later. You will probably spot anyway. You will probably have really bad cramps too.. I wouldn't do that. It will mess you up!

you would really be screwing up your system by not letting you bleed....this can will affect your hormones and therefore give you PMS symptoms, Bloating headache, irritable
Why not just bleed and use tampons

You shouldn't play games with your body. It's best to let the body do what's it's suppose to do.
